Roberta Wilna Lane

After 94+ wonderful years of life, Roberta Wilna Lane (Delaney) passed away peacefully in Vernon, BC, on April 17, 2020.
Born in Kensington, PEI, on December 5, 1925, Wilna married Hollis Lane in 1947. The couple moved throughout the Atlantic, Central and Western Canada before settling in Vancouver, BC, in 1967.
Wilna was a wonderful mother and wife, and an outstanding role model. She loved gardening, was an avid golfer, an accomplished bridge player, an active member of the Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church and a stalwart member of the volunteer community well into her 80s. She spent countless hours in support of many charities including the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels, Royal Commonwealth Society, UBC Cancer Clinic, and the United Way/Appeal.
Predeceased by her husband Hollis and son-in-law Ernie, left to mourn are her daughters Linda (Ian), Karyn and Carla (Edmond), her son Bob (Wendy) and their families, including 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
