Nick’s journey on this earth came to an end on March 23, 2021 at the age of 21. Nick was born in Vernon, BC, to parents, Nancy and Tyler and sister, Kathryn (Katie) (Saskatoon, SK) on March 31, 1999. Left to mourn with his family is his grandmother, Gert Phillips (Vernon, BC); grandparents, Les and Kathy Prosak (Mississauga, ON); and grandmother, Selina Mori (Genelle, BC) as well as many family members and friends.
Sadly, in his teenage years, mental health issues impacted his life as he matured from youth to adulthood. With a schizoaffective disorder, he came a long way from the dark days of depression to being active and independent.
Many people helped and loved him throughout his life. His quiet disposition, humour and smile were given freely and deeply meant. “He gave the best hugs!”
Nick’s undetermined cause of death was sudden and has left everyone in shock. A celebration of life with be held for the immediate family at a later date. Nick will be laid to rest with his predeceased grandfather, Vernon Phillips (Vernon, BC).
“Soar, my child. Visit the dark side of the moon with grandpa as your mom plays Pink Floyd’s “The Great Gig in the Sky” and your dad plays “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”.
”Missed and never forgotten. Rest in Peace my baby boy.”
