(1944 – 2020)
It is with great sadness that we announce Bill’s passing on December 7, 2020 at Hospice.
Bill leaves to mourn his passing his loving Wife of 50 years, Irene, Daughter Natasha, Sons Tyler (Chantal) and Ivan (Monique), and two beautiful Granddaughters Clio and Carmen. Also left to mourn are his 2 Brothers and many family members in Australia.
Bill was born in Liverpool, England, and moved to Australia at 3 years of age. In May 1971 he and Irene immigrated to Canada, intending to stay for two years. He became a B.C. Land Surveyor and, after two years managing a local Survey office, had the opportunity to buy the business. This would keep him busy until he retired in September due to health issues. He loved the challenge of solving problems for his clients and sharing his knowledge and experience.
A special thank you to Doctor Harper, Doctor Hardy and the staff at the Cancer Clinic.
Also, a special thank you to the Nurses on the 6th floor at the hospital and the Nurses and staff at Hospice.
In lieu of flowers Bill requested that a donation be made to the McMurtry Baerg Cancer Clinic, the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation or to North Okanagan Hospice Society.
Bill was laid to rest at Coldstream Cemetery. Because of COVID-19, a celebration of his life will be held in the future when his Children are able to return to Canada.
