In loving memory of K.Ian Muir
With heavy hearts, we announce Ian’s passing, January 10, 2021.
Ian was born in Toronto, Ontario March 8, 1943. His early years were spent in Toronto, Edmonton and Yellowknife. He was part of the RCAF from 1962-1967. Upon discharge he met the love of his life, Linda. Their life together gave them 2 daughters Heather & Sherri. Ian’s career led the family to moves across the Western provinces, (Saskatoon, Churchill, Yorkton, Prince Albert and White Rock). Ian’s retirement brought he and Linda to the Okagnagan. The last 22 years have taken them on many adventures with both old and new found friends.
Ian’s sense of adventure led him to seek out opportunities connecting with people wherever he went, from working in the Arctic, cruising and travelling across Canada and abroad or doing taxes in Vernon.
Above all he loved his family. He leaves behind his loving wife Linda, 2 beautiful daughters Heather ( Ian ) & Sherri ( Dave ) and 4 very special grandchildren ( Harper, Jericho, Avery and Eamon ). He is also survived by his brother Allan ( Lori) and numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, with whom he was extremely close.
His cheerful positive attitude and great courage during his battle with cancer was an inspiration to us all.
His life touched so many. He will be dearly missed.
