1933 – 2020

 Joyce Eileen Buchanan was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on Sunday October 4, 2020. She was predeceased by her husband Bruce in 1996. Joyce was born in Montreal, lived her early life in Quebec and Ontario, but spent most of her years in Western Canada, first in Alberta and then in BC, where she spent her last 42 years in Vernon.

All who knew her delighted in her quirkiness, her quick laughter, her love for animals, and her riveting storytelling that kept memories alive.

Joyce leaves behind her 3 children and their spouses: Adam (Leslie), Mark (Cheryl), Jenny (Alex) and her 8 grandchildren Adam, Amanda, Lauren, Sarah, Austin, Nicola, Cassidy and Andrew. As well many extended family and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, and in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Vernon Hospice House, the Humane society, or charity of your choice.
