It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacqueline Dolphin. Jacquie enjoyed travelling throughout B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories by camper or motorhome. One of her favorite places was Cairns Creek on Lake Revelstoke, sitting on her lawn chair in the lake. She took great pride in the care of the ostrich chicks we raised, her home and yard. She loved antiques, working on her leather projects, reading, doing puzzles and always had a cat underfoot. Jacquie always said her sister was her best friend. She will be missed by her family and friends. Jacquie was predeceased by her father Jack, father-in-law Joseph and mother-in-law Micheline.
She leaves behind her husband Richard Sobon, mother Esther Hauck, sister Sandra Duggan (Gary), brother John Hauck (Dana), sister-in-law Anita Carter (Doug), brother-in-law Christian Sobon (Elinor) and many nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at Coldstream Cemetery on Friday, September 25, 2020, followed by an open house at 5771 Learmouth Road, Lavington at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Hospital at: helpstpauls.com/heart/cardiac
