Nickel, Beverly Anne
January 6th, 1950 – March 4th, 2020 It is with a sad heart that we share the passing of
Beverly, on March 4th, 2020, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Beverly was born in Vernon, and lived her whole life there, first on 36th Avenue, then on 27th Street. She attended Vernon Secondary School, then went
on to become a hairdresser. In 1971, she began training to become a nurse at
Royal Inland Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse in 1974. Her nursing career would be spent at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, starting in the Centennial Wing and becoming an Assistant Head Nurse. She moved to the new tower and worked on both 3E and 3W, as Head Nurse and afterwards as Nursing Resource Manager. Before her retirement, she worked as a member of the IV Therapy Team.
She retired in 2011. Beverly is predeceased by her mother Florence, her father Michael, her sisters Elsie and Velma, and her brother Michael. She is survived by her spouse Steve, her son France (Robert), her niece Alexandra, and her nephew Michael (Paulina).
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 13th, 1 pm, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Vernon.
