Alex Pshyk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and Grandfather Alex Pshyk on January 11, 2021. Dad was born on May 6, 1946 in Glendon, Alberta the 8th of 10 children born to James and Mary Pshyk. The Pshyk family moved to Vernon, BC in 1947. In 1971, he married Eileen (Harrison) from Richmond BC and they had two children Anya and Simon.
Dad ‘Honorable Father,’ had a long career in Transportation and was a member of Local 955, International Union of Operating Engineers. He was well known for attending a garage sale or two and was an avid collector who loved music and sports. Dad was a self-taught musician who played many instruments. He loved his family and his friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Predeceased by his parents James and Mary Pshyk and his sister Anne. He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, Anya (Rob) and Simon and two grandsons Vinny and Nicholas. He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Victor (Vicky), Jean (Hank), Lucille (Bob), Ollie (Ernie), Peter, Rose, Paul (Shirley), Jim (Tracy) and his brother in law Don, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
