A Vernon based medical marijuana company is reporting triple digit increases in revenue and sales.

True Leaf Medicine International posted sales of 1.4 million dollars for its fiscal year, ending March 31, with revenue up 280% over the previous year.

“These results represent a 280% increase in revenue over the previous fiscal year ($368,536) and a 286% increase of fourth quarter sales year over year, from $99,331 to $383,844,” says a company news release.

CEO Darcy Bomford says the growth was primarily adding new stores and online locations for its pet wellness products.

“True Hemp dog chews, dental sticks, and supplement oils are now sold in more than 1,800 stores worldwide, including in Canada, the United States, and Europe through retailers such as PetSmart Canada, Pets Corner UK, and Amazon.”

True Hemp is building a growing and production facility in Lumby to provide medicinal cannabis for people, with Health Canada approval still pending.
