Alerts Lifted In Lumby
The flood risk has officially been downgraded in Lumby.
The village has lifted evacuation alerts covering 160 homes and businesses along the creeks, and deactivated its emergency operations centre.
The village says creek levels are lower and have stabilized.
“We’re not going to say it’s (flood risk) over. The EOC could be re-activated if those conditions return, but at this point, we’re really not expecting that to happen,” village chief financial officer Jeremy Sundin tells Beach Radio News.
