Fire Probe Focuses On Outside Start

Investigators are still looking into the cause of a fire at a Vernon mobile home park.

A blaze gutted a mobile home in the Big Chief Park on Landing Road Sunday afternoon.

“It does appear the fire started outside of the building. It’s not clear.  There are two or three theories of what may have led to the ignition but that’s still ongoing at this
time,” says Vernon fire chief David Lind .

Lind says no one was home at the time the fire broke out.
