An Armstrong man has pleaded guilty to six charges in connection with a vehicle crash in Vernon two years ago that killed two of his friends, according to a spokesperson for the B.C. Prosecution Service.

Travis Dustin Fox, born in 1995, appeared in Vernon Provincial Court Friday morning where he pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving causing death, two counts of impaired driving causing death, and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, the spokesperson said.

Fox was behind the wheel on March 6, 2016 when his pickup rolled off Highway 6 near Waddington Drive, killing passengers Carlee De Boer, 20, of Grindrod and Paige Whitelaw, 20, of Ladysmith.  The two had been attending Okanagan College in Kelowna.
