New Vendor For Kal Beach Concession

Coldstream Council has awarded a contract for a new operator of the concession service at Kal Beach.

Gary’s Woodfired Pizza will take over the service.

Mayor Jim Garlick says the agreement is for one year with an option for a 2nd year..

“We’ll see how it goes. It may be expanded on as we move forward if we have success with that. We want to include more options I think for people to go there. We’ve had the concession for years.”

Garlick says aside from the concession stand, the new operator will manage a mobile food vendor spot and there may be more in the future.

Garlick says the District wants to move in the direction of being able to provide a variety of options at a variety of prices.
