Bridge Back In Service; MLA Blames Government

Jan 19, 2018 | 5:21 PM

Residents of Armstrong Spallumcheen finally have a a working bridge back in service.

Morgan Bridge on Heywood-Armstrong Road was washed out by flooding in May, but has now been re-opened.

Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo commends the contractors on having completed the job, but questions while BC’s NDP government delayed the repairs these last seven months.

“The lengthy delay in fixing the span has created a real hardship and expense for local residents,” stated Kyllo, a Liberal MLA. “It reminds me of the delaying strategy the BC NDP takes on most transportation issues. I hope for the sake of British Columbians that things improve in the future.”
