Mountain Bikers Input Wanted

Jan 13, 2018 | 8:45 AM

Tell BC Parks how much you love your mountain bike trails in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park either in person  Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Vernon Prestige Hotel – Ellison Salon (4411 32 St.) 4 pm to 8 pm or by email Keith.Baric@gov.bc.ca.

BC Parks is looking at the management plan for Kal Park and is requesting input from our mountain bike community.  They are considering additional parking within the park as well as improvements to the existing parking areas. Up until now BC Parks hasn’t heard much from mountain bikers but we are urging everyone to make time to either attend the meeting or send an email.  This would be the North Okanagan Bike Communities’ opportunity to tell BC Parks “Thank you for including mountain biking in the management plan and please support continued maintenance of the existing trails as well as new trails within the park.”  NOCS will also be sending in comments but it is important for BC Parks to hear from individuals as well!

See you at the meeting! The BC Parks website will also have updates between now and the 18th as well.
