Impaired Driving Suspect In More Trouble
A Vernon woman is facing a second potential impaired driving charge after allegedly attending the RCMP detachment while under the influence.
Police say the woman was there Wednesday to provide fingerprints on another impaired driving charge from a single vehicle incident on Silver Star Road in May.
“While dealing with officers inside the detachment, the officers could smell a strong odour of liquor on the woman and cautioned her not to drive her vehicle upon leaving. The woman allegedly advised she would be calling a cab, however when she left the detachment, she got into her vehicle and drove away,” says Cst. Kelly Brett.
The driver failed to stop when police tried to pull her over.
