Snow accumulating up Silver Star

Ski and snowboard season is fast approaching as the local mountain received a lot of fresh snow recently.

SilverStar Mountain Resort said flurries began falling Tuesday evening, and as of time of publication a total of 30 centimetres of fresh snow had accumulated.

More snow was also expected in the short-term forecast, and the local ski hill said preparations were ramping up for the upcoming season.

“This is the time of year when the excitement for winter really starts to build across our team and community,” Doug Chimuk, Marketing Manager at SilverStar Mountain Resort, said.
