FireSmart money for RDCO will get snapped up quickly

While more money ($600,000) has been received by our regional district for FireSmart community funding, it’s expected the program capacity will be reached quickly.

So residents should register for the program and join the wait list for assessments and rebates for work to clear fire danger away from homes, properties and neighbourhoods.

Also, simple immediate actions can reduce risk such as clearing dry leaves and debris, cleaning roofs and gutters, and trimming trees and shrubs.
