Big name endorsement for Kelowna mayoral incumbent

Kelowna’s longest serving mayor Walter Gray is backing incumbent Tom Dyas in this month’s local elections.

Gray served a total of 12 years in office between the late 1990s and 200os and again in the 2010s and has cited Dyas’s experience, leadership and ability to advocate for Kelowna.

Gray also highlighted Dyas’ relationships with senior levels of government and his willingness to advocate on issues such as housing, homelessness and bail reform.

The Dyas election campaign issued a media release Thursday, noting Gray’s endorsement was first reported by Black Press Media on Oct. 8.
