Kelowna plans next steps for North Glenmore growth

Kelowna city staff are recommending a three-year planning process for North Glenmore, beginning in 2027, subject to budget approval.

The proposed framework would examine transportation, water and wastewater capacity, environmental constraints, parks, infrastructure costs and potential development phasing.

A study presented to council in June identified potential capacity for up to 13,000 homes and 30,000 residents across six possible neighbourhoods.

Staff stress the study is not a development plan, and further work is needed to determine whether, when and how growth should proceed.
