Looking to a potential second term, Hopkins said she wants to complete projects that were already underway; be financially responsible to keep taxes low; pursue outside funding to assist with investing in infrastructure, parks, recreation and community facilities; support agriculture, tourism and economic development; strengthen emergency preparedness and communications; and protecting Area F’s rural character.

“There is momentum in Area F. We have projects underway, plans in place and strong partnerships. I want to continue building on that foundation while making sure rural residents have a strong voice at the regional table,” Hopkins stated.

“I am proud of what we have accomplished together over the past four years. I believe in the strength of our communities and what is possible when we work together. I would be honoured to have the continued trust of Electoral Area F residents for a second term.” 

Hopkins ran unopposed in 2022 but this year she faces a challenger in Rachel Enns.

Votes will be cast for the RDNO Director seat in the local general election October 17.
