Job seekers will have a chance to learn about local career opportunities at a special event this month.

WorkBC’s Job-A-Palooza is scheduled to happen at the Prestige Lodge from 1 to 4 p.m. September 24.

The event will feature over 30 booths from local employers presenting to those exploring new career avenues and opportunities.

“This year’s Job-A-Palooza promises something for everyone, whether you’re seeking a new career path, a local gig, or seasonal work,” WorkBC said in a release.

“Attendees will have the chance to meet with representatives from a wide variety of industries.”

Additionally, registered employers will participate in a Lunch and Learn session, where Pamela Connolly of Nixon Wenger LLP will share insights with her presentation How Not To Get Sued.

People looking for new work were also encouraged to visit the WorkBC office ahead of the Job-A-Palooza where they can access free assistance to hone their interview skills and spruce up their resumes.
