Vancouver Whitecaps, midfielder J.C. Ngando mutually agree to part ways
VANCOUVER — Midfielder J.C. Ngando and the Vancouver Whitecaps have mutually agreed to part ways.
The Major League Soccer team made the announcement Thursday and said that Ngando had cleared waivers.
“J.C. was an outstanding team player throughout his time with us and someone who was always ready to step in whenever he was needed,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps sporting director. “We both agreed that it is important for him to take the next step at a club where he will have additional opportunities to play more regularly and consistently.
“We are grateful for everything J.C. contributed during his time in Vancouver and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.”
