Nominations open for Business Excellence Awards

People looking to recognize local businesses, entrepreneurs and economic leaders have the chance to set them up for a prize.

Nominations are now open for the 42nd annual Business Excellence Awards.

“Through challenging and changing circumstances, businesses and organizations across Greater Vernon continue to show up for our community,” the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, which hands out the annual awards, stated.

“They’re adapting. Supporting their employees. Serving their customers. Helping their neighbours. Finding creative solutions. And continuing to invest their time, energy and passion into making Greater Vernon a great place to live, work and do business.

“Now is our opportunity to recognize them.”

There will be a number of Business Excellence Awards handed out in a range of categories, from Large, Medium and Small Business of the Year, to Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and from the Non-Profit Excellence Award to the Retail, Trades, Restaurant, Tourism, and Professional Business of the Year.

The full list of categories and details on how to make a nomination can be found online here.

Nominees will be judged by a panel of anonymous community members.

The nomination process will close Sept. 18, and the awards will be presented during an event at a later date.
