Suspicious death in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in the North End of the city.

On Tuesday, July 7, Mounties responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 800-block of Baillie Avenue. Frontline officers attended and located a deceased female in the back of a vehicle.

Police said in a media release Friday, a male, known to the female victim, was taken into custody at the scene and had since been released with a number of reporting conditions.

RCMP did not offer any further details other than to say the Kelowna Serious Crime Unit took over the investigation and was actively working to determine the events leading up to her death.
