Vernon Drop Off Site For Fire Donations

North Okanagan residents wanting to donate items to help the BC fire victims can drop them off at Cloverdale Paint in Vernon.

Evacuees are in need of pillows, clothing, and essential toiletries like toothpaste, tooth bruhes, soap,  and shampoo.

Naomi Shaw of the Vernon BMX Club, and Chris Brown owner of CM Renovations and Interiors have set up the drop off site.

“There will be a 18 foot trailer heading to Prince George this Thursday,” says Shaw. “Chris will be making the trip with his work vehicle.”

Shaw says they are also looking for help with hay for livestock but don’t have a way to get it there yet.

“I will be putting the word out to my BMX family and hoping to get donations at the Ranger Park BMX track tonight starting around 5:30pm.”
