Arson Suspect Still Needs Trial Date

Lawyers are still trying to fix a trial date for a Vernon arson suspect.
55 year old William Munton is facing 19 counts of arson from a rash of fires in 2014 including one that destroyed the grandstands at Kin Race Track.
The Crown has planned to call 44 civilian witnesses for the BC Supreme Court trial, but is working to reduce that, due to time concerns.
The case will be back in court July 24 to fix a date.
Munton is not being held in custody, but is under court imposed restrictions.
