Aberdeen Rd. sewer project delayed

A major infrastructure project in Coldstream has hit a snag.

The district said drilling for the sewer line upgrades along Aberdeen Road had to be halted due to poor soil conditions under the CN Rail tracks.

“The project team was required to implement an alternative drilling method for the installation of water and sewer infrastructure, which required acquiring formal approval from CN Rail, as well as the delivery and set-up of specialized equipment,” the District of Coldstream said in a release.

“Drilling is now scheduled to resume early next week (March 16) and is anticipated to continue through to the end of the month.”
