Kelowna council reviews 2026 ‘Value for Money’ plan
Kelowna City Council is reviewing the 2026 Value for Money Engagement Plan, which outlines a series of reviews focused on accountability and effective use of public funds.
The plan identifies three priority areas for 2026, including affordable housing, investment in economic development programs, and fire dispatch services.
The affordable housing review will examine three projects to see if they align with goals in the Housing Action Plan, while the economic development review will assess whether outcomes match the city’s financial contribution.
Fire dispatch services will also be reviewed, focusing on risks, revenue generation, and alternative governance or operational models.
