Kelowna native Josh Gorges will be inducted into the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame on July 11.
Gorges, a former Kelowna Rocket, won a Western Hockey League championship and the Memorial Cup before going on to play 783 games in the National Hockey League.
The B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame, which honours the provinces most accomplished players, is located in nearby Penticton.
Officials say Gorges’ induction celebrates his contributions to hockey both in British Columbia and at the professional level.
