Will Rent Learning Space "As Needed"

Okanagan College leaving its facilities in Revelstoke, Oliver

The local post-secondary institution is moving out of its facilities in Revelstoke and Oliver.

Okanagan College said it was terminating its leases in the two communities, and would instead be renting out space for courses on an as-needed basis in the future.

OC leases its facility in Revelstoke from School District 19. That lease will be exited on March 31, though OC will continue to use the site for programs through to the end of June.

The facility OC leases in Oliver is the Oliver Centre, and earlier this month One Sky Community Resources became the primary leaseholder of that facility. One Sky operates childcare and community services from that site.

“As the College transitions away from operating facilities in Revelstoke and Oliver, it will look to renting other spaces to support local course delivery,” Okanagan College said in a release.
