Palliative & End-Of-Life Care

Journeys Campaign supporting Hospice Society programs, operations

Dec 17, 2025 | 2:59 PM

The North Okanagan Hospice Society is running its annual Journeys Campaign to meet the growing needs of its services.

The Hospice Society said more and more people are in need of palliative and end-of-life care, and is running its annual fundraising campaign to sustain and strengthen its programs and services.

The Journeys 2025 Campaign will see community donations go toward the NOHS’s programs, including Hospice at Home, Hospice Physician Services, and Grief and Bereavement Support, as well as helping fund operations at its 12-bed facility.

The Society said the campaign will ensure people in need in the North Okanagan can access the required care when and where they need it most.

“At some point in our lives, each of us, or someone we love will need the support that hospice provides,” Megan Cox, Executive Director of NOHS, said.

“The Journeys Campaign is about sustaining the programs and services that bring comfort, connection, and dignity to individuals and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.”

The NOHS programs are entirely funded through community contributions, while its facility is half funded through donations.

People can donate to the Journeys Campaign through the NOHS website.
