50/50 Fundraiser

Archway Society running Stand with Survivors campaign in support of local programs

Dec 16, 2025 | 2:08 PM

The organization that provides support to survivors of domestic and sexual violence is running a week-long fundraising campaign in support of its programs.

Archway Society for Domestic Peace says it wants the community to participate in its Stand with Survivors week-long campaign to “celebrate resilience and take meaningful action in support of individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence.”

To mark the week, Archway Society is holding a 50/50 raffle between Dec.14 and 20, which will see half the proceeds go back into the organization’s programs and the other half go to the raffle winner. Tickets for the 50/50 can be found online here.

Archway Society offers a range of services and wraparound care through its emergency shelter; counselling for children, youth, and adults; courtroom and legal advocacy; outreach supports; and prevention education.

“Every day, survivors in our community take courageous steps toward safety and healing,” Sherry Demetrick, co-executive director of the Archway Society for Domestic Peace, said.

“The support of our community helps ensure that when someone reaches out, they’re met with shelter, counselling, advocacy, and a network of people who believe in their strength. The impact is real — families finding stability, children rediscovering joy, and adults rebuilding their lives with confidence and hope.”
