Major West K residential development takes step forward
Nothing has been decided yet but a proposed major residential development in West Kelowna has taken a step forward.
On Tuesday, City Council gave first reading to a Zoning Bylaw amendment for Brown Road that, if adopted, could allow for a major mixed-use residential development of 400-plus units in townhomes and/or four-to-six-storey apartment buildings.
The project includes commitments for a 150-space daycare facility, more than three hectares of parkland, trail connections, off-site sidewalks and road improvements.
The undeveloped land could feature over 400 new housing units/ City of West Kelowna
