Parking options will be available for Canada Day celebration

People wishing to enjoy the Canada Day celebrations at Polson Park won’t have to worry about where to leave their vehicles.

There will be no parking available in the park due to the Vernon Creek Naturalization project, so the City of Vernon has decided to allow people to park for free at the city hall lots on 30th Street.

Vantage One Credit Union will also open its lot on 33rd Avenue for people to park for free on Juy 1.

While parking is available, the city does also encourage people use alternate means of transportation to get to and from the park, including cycling, walking, taking the bus, or using a public e-scooter.
