Okanagan College event to provide health career information to area high schoolers

High school students in Greater Vernon will have a chance to learn about career opportunities in the health care sector.

Okanagan College’s Vernon campus will host over 800 Grade 9 students from School Dsitrict 22 for a hand-on exploration of careers in health care Thursday, June 12.

“With increasing shortages in the health care workforce across the Okanagan and beyond, this event plays a critical role in introducing students to the rewarding and essential careers that await them in the health sector,” Okanagan College said in a release.

“It’s a collaborative investment in the future health and well-being of our communities.”
