GoByBike Week will run in Vernon, North Okanagan

People can get their bicycles tuned up in preparation of GoByBike Week.

From May 30 to June 8, North Okanagan residents will be encouraged to ride a bike or use another alternative mode of transportation for their daily commutes, outings, and recreating.

Participants in the Vernon and North Okanagan GoByBike Week will be able to log their rides online to track their kilometres traveled and their greenhouse gas savings.

The City of Vernon will mark Go By Bike Week with several events during that time including a a kick off and bike market at Polson Park; pancake breakfast and bike demo at Ellison Provincial Park; bike road/trail side fixes at Olympia Cycle and Ski; an Everybody Bikes event at Sun Country Cycle; the Pride Parade; and the Wrap Up Event at Civic Memorial Park.
