Threat leads to early closure of an Enderby school
A. L. Fortune high school in Enderby had to close early Wednesday due to a potential threat.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a report of an “unspecified threat directed at the school” shortly after 1 p.m. May 14.
Mounties attended the school and assisted with the early dismissal, adding the students were moved to an alternative location for pickup.
“A complete and thorough investigation has been conducted and at this point, no credible evidence has been found that would substantiate the threat,” Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, said.
