Referendum on mosquito control wraps up March 2
Residents of Electoral Area F (rural Enderby) of the Regional District of North Okanagan have two more opportunities to vote Yes or No on a proposed mosquito control program.
The second and final advance voting day will be on Wednesday, February 28 at the Splatsin Community Centre on Old Vernon Road in Enderby, with general voting on Saturday, March 2 at the Enderby and District Senior’s Complex on George Street.
If adopted, the bylaw will allow the RDNO to establish a service to provide mosquito control to the residents of Electoral Area “F”, with a focus on mosquito breeding sites along the Shuswap River near the communities of Kingfisher, Ashton Creek, Grindrod and Mara.
Qualified electors living in Electoral Area “F” will be asked to vote on the following question.
