30 Runs Open

More terrain opening at SilverStar

Dec 14, 2023 | 3:30 PM

Skiers and snowboarders will have more runs to explore at SilverStar.

With cooler temperatures and snowfall over the opening weekend, the resort will be able to open the Alpine Meadows Chair Friday, Dec. 15, providing access to limited Attridge terrain.

This builds off the opening of the Comet Lift on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Brewer’s Pond and Tube Town also opened at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14. Skating and tubing is available from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

“Mother Nature has delivered the snow we needed to open more lifts and terrain and we’re super excited to have these iconic activities and more terrain open for all our guests to enjoy,” Director of Sales, Marketing and Events, Ian Jenkins, said.

“To date this brings the resort to having five lifts and 30 runs open for some amazing skiing and riding.”

Night skiing and the cross-country night loop will also be ready to open for the weekend.

Night skiing will begin with the Silver Queen and Discovery Carpet open from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Gondola will not be operational for night skiing.

The cross-country night loop will be open daily until 7:30 p.m.

The Silver Queen Chair will be providing access to the Bannister Terrain Park and Silver Queen Run, so the Tube Town Carpet will return to serving just tubers.
