Shoppers loving the Festival of Craft and Gifts

Nov 18, 2022 | 3:00 PM

Holiday shoppers looking for unique gifts were lined up for the 10 a.m. opening of the 21st annual Vernon Presents Festival of Crafts and Gifts.

If you are looking for unique gifts, Kal Tire Place is where you want to be for everything from homemade clothing, decor, baking, cider, spices, fruit and more. There are 140 vendors from across B.C. and Alberta.

The entry fee is $4 for adults with children 12 and under free. A portion of the proceeds supports the North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS). Shoppers get a door prize ticket with admission with dozens of prizes being drawn.

NOHS is also taking donations and has a memory tree set-up where people can write the name of a loved one on an ornament and hang it.

The event is in honour of Olive Dent who started it in 2001.

The event runs until 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. For more information visit www.vernonpresents.ca.
