COVID-19 cases continue to decline in Vernon, Interior
Cases of COVID-19 locally continued to decline week-over-week in the latest report from the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC).
The report confirmed 10 cases of the virus in the Vernon health area between Oct. 16-22. That figure was down from the 11 cases confirmed in Greater Vernon the week prior.
Additionally, the report stated there were 112 confirmed cases in the Interior and 534 across all of B.C. in the latest reporting week. Those were also down from the 123 and 627 cases confirmed the week before.
There were a total of 29 patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 in the Interior in the latest week, including six who were admitted to intensive care. In all of B.C. there were 148 COVID-positive hospital admissions, including 26 who were admitted to ICU.
