Free public swim on Family Day

If you want to make a splash on Family Day, there is a free public swim event at the Vernon Aquatic Centre.

Greater Vernon Recreation Services is hosting the event, with support from the B.C. government, from 12:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21

“Your family can enjoy an afternoon of splashing, sliding or soaking, free of charge,” a city news release stated.

COVID safety protocols will be in place for the event. Masks are required for everyone aged 5 and up when in the lobby, hallway or change rooms. The viewing area will be closed to public.

People 12-18 years of age will have to produce their scannable BC Vaccine Card, and those 19 and older will be required to show both their BC Vaccine Card and valid government issued photo identification.
