Credit unions across Canada are joining forces to help the B.C. residents impacted by flooding.

A news release from VantageOne Credit Union says the financial institutions are supporting the recovery fund being led by the Canadian Red Cross. Credit union members are encouraged to donate by visiting https://bit.ly/CUs4BCFlood.

The money raised will enable the Red Cross to carry out relief, recovery, resiliency and risk reduction activities in the affected areas.

“In times like these, we remind ourselves that we are friends, family, neighbours and community partners,” said Glenn Benischek, President and Chief Executive Officer of VantageOne Credit Union. “Our communities are ultimately stronger when we come together to support each other. On behalf of VantageOne Credit Union we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donations.
