Free Saturday parking in Vernon for holiday season

Vernon drivers won’t have to plug the parking meters on Saturdays over the holiday season.

The City of Vernon and the Downtown Vernon Association (DVA) are once again offering free parking every Saturday from Nov. 20 to Dec. 18.

The DVA also says people can enjoy roaming entertainment on Saturdays over that period.

“Find the holiday spirit (and that special gift) in one of our 550 businesses and services in Downtown Vernon! Save with many in-store specials while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere,” the DVA said in a city event release.
