One person injured in collision near Spallumcheen

A single-vehicle collision on Highway 97A in Spallumcheen resulted in one person being injured.

The crash occured at approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening (Nov. 17), and when officers arrived on the scene they found one man being treated by B.C. Ambulance Services personnel.

Mounties interviewed witnesses at the scene, who said the southbound vehicle had slowly crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic before overcorrecting. The vehicle reportedly collided with a concrete barrier several times before completely crossing the highway and overturning.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
