Vernon’s COVID-19 vaccination rates have stalled at 85 and 81 per cent
The COVID-19 vaccination rates for the Vernon/Coldstream health region did not make any gains in the past week.
The first dose rate for the area was recorded at 85 per cent on Nov. 15, which marks two weeks of sitting at this figure.
Nov. 15’s second dose rate of 81 per cent was the same as the figure reported on Nov. 8.
While the overall rates stayed the same, B.C. Centre for Disease Control data did say that second dose rates for both 12-17 year olds and 18-49 year olds rose by a percentage point to 74 per cent each, while the first dose rates for residents age 18-49 rose by one to 80 per cent. The rest of the rates stayed flat when compared to the week prior.
