Care to Speak

Program offers free mental health support to healthcare workers

Oct 26, 2021 | 6:30 AM

With vaccine mandates affecting those who work in healthcare, a new pile of stress seems to have been added to the already copious load.

No matter their views, Care to Speak offers healthcare workers unbiased mental health support. Care to Speak is a non-judgmental and confidential mental health support service for those working in healthcare.

The service is not affiliated with any union or employer. There is no intake process, and healthcare workers can get free support in minutes. This includes the facility administrators, care aids, medical office administrators, doctors and nurses, etc. Healthcare workers are supported by a peer who has experience in healthcare.

With the program’s continued success, Care to Speak will be available to those who work in the social services sector starting January 2022. Service users will be supported by a peer who also works in the social services sector.

Care to Speak is always looking for remote peer volunteers who have experience in the social services or healthcare sector. Training begins in January 2022.
