Area residents encouraged to take part in 9 p.m. Routine
The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is asking residents to do their part in crime prevention by taking part in the 9 p.m. Routine initiative.
Mounties say area residents should be checking their properties and vehicles each evening at 9 p.m. to ensure there are no valuables left in plain view, and that all doors and windows are locked and secured.
By following the 9 p.m. Routine strategy, residents end up protecting their properties by taking away any incentives for opportunistic criminals.
