Sentencing for child porn charge

A Vernon man has been sentenced on child pornography charges.

Jeffrey Howard Goldenthal—born in 1967—was given an 18-month conditional sentence after earlier pleading guilty to one count of possession of child porn in Vernon.

He also received three years of probation, was ordered to provide a DNA sample, and was placed on the sex offender registry for life.

The BC Prosecution Service said Goldenthal also received a s.161 prohibition that prohibits offenders from certain activities that may have them in contact with people under age 16, lasting 10 years.
